I got to photograph a show by my dear and talented friends Pearson & James. It was Thee Source ov Fawnation with visuals done by James running two ASUS depth sensors (like more compact versions of the xBox kinect sensor) on custom software projected onto the screen behind the performers. It was captivating and very exciting.
I photographed Bill Clinton at the People For the American Way Foundation's 30th Anniversary Celebration near Central Park.

Got busy on this project today with James George & Kyle McDonald. We worked in the Metropolitan Exchange Bank building in Brooklyn. I had a blast doing the documentation and watching these guys work their magic with 3D point clouds and calibrating the cameras. Loved diagraming the bracket, which went into the sketchup model. A big thank you to Thomas Haggerty for fabricating the mount!

I shot an event for Exposure (thank you girls!) in Soho last night. Exposure was great and the event was rad. They're relaunching the New York Cosmos soccer team in NY again. The Cosmos went to Jersey, then out of existence for a couple decades. A bunch of the old players were there (alas, no Pele). I had a blast. The gallery on their site is here.
The NY Times did this neat feature on Fashion Week this year where they took submissions and posted photos from the shows. I submitted two shots and they were picked. Here's one and the other is the one on the right from the Fetherston presentation below.
Spent tonight making videos and trippy 3D explosion images. Very excitedabout all this.
For about 15 minutes a day (when the sun is out) I get a beam of sunlight that bounces up from the stainless counter and illuminates the whole kitchen. I'm grateful for it.

That is Scott Schuman, of The Sartorialist, sitting in the middle left. He was recently featured in a little documentary made by Intel as part of a series called A Visual Life (which is also the title of a book on Dorothea Lange.) The video is neat from the perspective of someone who is interested in shooting on the street. His approach is different since he is a street fashion blogger, but it is a neat little video regardless.
I was working with the amazing James George today on our collaboration withthe Kinect. We made some amazing things.

I shot these two photographers, Terry Richardson & Ryan McGinley for BFA @ the Swiss Institute it was a show of the photos from a book called REBEL YOUTH which is the photos of Karlheinz Weinberger. I really enjoyed the show - it is a combination of male erotica and a documentary on Elvis obsessed Swiss biker gangs shot in the 50s-70's. The book is amazing and it was a pretty great crowd. I did a shoot at goodyoga with Doug Swenson who is apparently a bit of a big deal in the yoga world. He was a very kind and goofy aging surf bro – not at all what I would think of as a world-renowned yoga master.
