MUYBRIDGE MOTION STUDIES

Lately I've been interested in photography and motion. I have begun planning a multimedia dance project with some friends and one of the first things that came up are Eadward Muybridge's early motion studies. They are basically proto-video, in fact there are some neat gifs that animate the images. The most famous ones are often of the horses running, but in the context of dance these ones of the human body are pretty great.
