HIROSHI SUGIMOTO

These photographs are exquisite.

He is most well known for two beautiful series: seascapes and theaters which in his words answers the speculation "suppose you shoot a whole movie in a single frame? And the answer: You get a shining screen." Seeing these online is a joke though, because part of what is so stunning about them is the glowing quality of the prints themselves. Regardless, here they are:
